Former USRA Out Pace B Modified National champion and Springfield Raceway track champion Ryan Gilmore got back in his winning way by taking the top spot early and then checked out leaving the pack to battle for 2nd place Saturday Night before the packed crowd at the "Quick-Quarter" of the Springfield Raceway.on Indigo Casino Raining Money Night.

Gilmore who drew what was called the stacked heat of the night which included some of the heavy hitters of the night started inside row 2 after the redraw inverted the top 4 cars from the 3 qualifying heats. Heat winners included defending champion Jackie Dalton, Gilmore and West Plains hot shoe Carl Murphy.

The 20 lap feature saw Levi Phillips and Murphy bring the field to the green on the lightning quick racy surface with Phillips taking the opening lead as Gilmore, Dalton and a thundering pack of 3 wide racing behind. Gilmore , who had made his Late Model Debut earlier in the evening with the Cash Money Series a big hit by winning a B feature and then charged from from 16th to a 3rd place finish was riding an emotional high and carried it over as he went door to door with Phillips as Dalton, Michael Cawvey, Murphy, Cody Jolly and James Thompson swapping spots. once in front by lap 6, Gilmore set sail on the high side and left the outstanding action behind him in taking his 4th feature win of the season.

While the action up front was keeping the crowd on edge, 2 big movers of the night included current USRA National point leader Sam Petty who started the feature in 14th, rallied from a spin and charged back to finish 9th and early season winner Justin Comer who started 17th to rally for a 7th place finish.

While Gilmore set sail moving to the top groove, Jolly, Cawvey, Dalton, Phillips and Thompson were swapping spots, slide jobs and spots with Jolly grabbing the runner-up spot followed by Dalton, Cawvey and Levi Phillips.

USRA Out Paced B Modified action continues next Saturday Night with a double feature night to make-up for last weeks rain out. Only the cars that were present will be eligible to run the 1st feature with a complete original start, then the Saturday night program will get underway.
