THEY ARE INTENDED AS A Guide FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE SPORT AND ARE IN NO WAY A GUARANTEE AGAINST INJURY OR DEATH TO A PARTICIPANT, SPECTATOR, OR OFFICIAL. THE TRACK PROMOTER SHALL BE EMPOWERED TO PERMIT REASONABLE AND APPROPRIATE DEVIATION FROM ANY OF THE SPECIFICATIONS WRITTEN HEREIN OR IMPOSE ANY FURTHER RESTRICTIONS THAT IN HIS OPINION DO NOT ALTER THE MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE REQUIREMENT. NO EXPRESSED, OR IMPLIED WARRANT OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. ANY INTERPRETATION OR DEVIATION OF THESE RULES IS LEFT TO THE DISCRETION OF THE OFFICIALS. THERE WILL BE NO FIGHTING, ALCOHOL, DRUGS, OR FIREARMS OF ANY KIND PERMITTED ON THE GROUNDS.
Fighting will result in a minimum of a 1 calender year suspension.
Any Driver hitting another drivers car under non racin circumstances at any time for any reason will be suspensed no pay, no points, minimum 2 weeks maximum life time suspension.
WE WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY THREAT AGAINST ANY OFFICIAL. FAILURE TO OBEY YOU WILL BE ESCORTED FROM THE PREMISES BY A GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF AND FOR FIT ANY EARNINGS/FEES FOR THAT NIGHTS EVENT.
THE RACE DIRECTOR MAKES ALL FINAL CALLS DURING A RACE HIS/HER DECISION IS FINAL NO EXCEPTIONS!
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THE LINE UP BOARDS AND BEING READY. WHEN ITS TIME TO RACE CARS MUST BE LINED UP (PRE STAGED) PRIOR TO THE COMPLETION OF THE RACE IN PROGRESS
IF YOU FAIL TO PRE-STAGE YOU WILL GO TAIL BACK!
NO RACING BACK TO YELLOW! NO SITTING ON THE TRACK WAITING FOR A YELLOW FLAG, YOU SPIN YOU GO TAIL BACK, 3 SPIN’S IN THE SAME RACE YOU WILL BE BLACK FLAGGED. IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT THE COURTESY “2 LAP” RULE WILL APPLY (DURING A FEATURE RACE ONLY) YOU WILL GO TAIL BACK. THE TOP 4 FINISHERS FROM THE FEATURE WILL GO TO THE TECH AREA AS WELL AS ONE MORE CAR AT THE OFFICIALS DISCRETION, FAILURE TO GO TO TECH AREA WILL RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION, ONLY THE TECH OFFICIALS, THE TOP 4 FINISHERS, AND THE CAR THAT WAS CHOSEN BY THE OFFICIALS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE TECH AREA
DRIVERS YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CREW MEMBERS!
RAIN OUT POLICY :ABSOLUTLY NO CASH REFUNDS at all if races are cancelled due to incliment weather the Springfield Raceway will issue RAIN CHECKS (your ticket stub or wrist band) will be good for a make up race.Go to springfieldraceway.com for details on dates.
Starts/Restarts
ON A START THE FLAG WILL BE THROWN WHEN THE POLE SITTER REACHES TURN 4 OR AT THE FLAGMAN’S DISCURSION,
Restarts
DOUBLE FILE RESTARTS WITH THE LEADER CHOOSING HIS/HER LANE AND THE REST OF THE FIELD LINED UP BEHIND THE LEADER SIDE BY SIDE. RESTART WILL START AT THE EXIT OF TURN 4 OR AS SOON AS THE FLAGMAN THROWS THE GREEN FLAG. WHEN THE GREEN FLAG DROPS THE RACE HAS BEGUN YOU MAY PASS ON THE LOW LINE ONLY. JUMPED STARTS WILL RESULT IN BEING SCORED 1 LAP DOWN. THE POLE SITTER/LEADER SETS THE PACE, CARS SHALL FOLLOW NOR MORE THAN A HALF A CAR LENGTH BEHIND THE CAR IN FRONT OF THEM NO LAGGING.
DRIVERS MUST FURNISH SPRINGFIELD RACEWAY WITH THEIR VALID SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER Failure TO FURNISH A VALID SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OR USING A FALSE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER SHALL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.
ALL DRIVERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE A SIGNED AND NOTARIZED PARENTAL CONSENT FORM FROM A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN AND SAID DOCUMENT MUST BE ON FILE AT SPRINGFIELD RACEWAY BEFORE THE PARTICIPANT WILL BE ALOUD ON THE TRACK.
OFFICIALS SHALL HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR RULE/REGULATION ENFORCEMENT AT SPRINGFIELD RACEWAY WEEKLY EVENTS. AT THE DISCRETION OF A TRACK OFFICIAL THE RULES MAY BE CHANGED FOR SAFETY REASONS. ANY COMPETITOR MAY BE DISQUALIFIED FOR RULE VIOLATIONS, HAZARDOUS EQUIPMENT OR ACTIONS BY THEMSELVES OR THEIR CREW

All Vehicles
roll bars and cage: must consist of continuous hoops not less than 1.3/4 in outside diameter and must have a wall thickness of at LEAST. 095IN. low carbon mild steel tubing is recommended. must be frame mounted in at least six places. no brazing or soldering allowed. A-Mods and B-Mods Refer to A-Mod rules.
ARE SUBJECT TO AN INSPECTION BY ANY TRACK OFFICIAL AT ANY TIME
ALL VEHICLES SHALL HAVE MUFFLERS. APPROVAL OF ANY VEHICLE BY ANY TRACK OFFICIAL SHALL MEAN ONLY THAT THE VEHICLE IS APPROVED FOR PARTICIPATION IN A COMPETITIVE EVENT AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED IN ANY WAY THAT THE INSPECTED VEHICLE IS GUARANTEED MECHANICALLY SOUND BE IT FURTHER DECLARED THAT THE INSPECTOR OR SPRINGFIELD RACEWAY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY MECHANICAL FAILURE AND/OR LOSSES, INJURIES OR DEATH RESULTING FROM IT.
ANY UNSPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROFANITY, HARASSMENT, FIGHTING OR THREATS TO OTHER DRIVERS/CREW, TRACK OFFICIALS OR SPECTATORS BY DRIVERS/CREW OR CAR OWNERS SHALL BE GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION AND/OR SUSPENSION

BLACK: DISQUALIFIED LEAVE THE TRACK IMMEDIATELY
BLACK /ORANGE: YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR CAR IT IS NOT SAFE TO CONTINUE
BLUE/ORANGE STRIPE: LAP FLAG LEADERS ARE APPROACHING
SPRINGFIELD RACEWAY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE AND/OR MODIFY THESE RULES AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE.
Springfield Raceway General Rules
- Must wear proper fire and safety equipment when racing
- Must have raceceiver while competing
- Cars will be checked in line up area, if you do not have a race receiver you will be sent back to pits
- If your raceceiver does not work while competing give the track official the thumbs down with your left hand always keep hand in cockpit
- All cars must enter track in turn 2 only,any entrance elsewhere will result in DQ
- All cars exit track in turn 3
- All races will be on a time limit, We do not race to the yellow
- 2 spins & 3rd you will be sent to the pits
- After yellow flag falls all cars must get nose to tail, we will put you in the proper line up position
- Any time leader takes white flag & then a yellow falls race is final
- Race begins at a slow pace with the front row cars exiting turn 4
- We will give you 2 trys,if the front row cant stay side by side, then we will take the 2nd row cars to front row and front row to 2nd row
- Restarts/Heat Races
- Single file restarts in heat races,nose to tail, all cars must pass between the cone and the front stretch wall, if you hit cone or go below cone you will be docked 2 positions at the end of the race
- No passing until past the cone on a single file restart
- Restarts/Feature
- Double file restarts in feature event
- Double file restarts begin exiting turn 4 (this means leader out front by himself, 2nd & 3rd place behind the leader not beside his quarter panel with the rest of the field nose to tail double file) the leader start picking up the gas in a nice even manner accelerating out of turn 4 & we will drop the green flag as the leader come down the front stretch, the rest of the field must stay nose to tail until the green is dropped.
- We will give you one try on a double file restart per yellow, the second attempt you will be single file
- When the leader accelerates exiting turn 4 & the green flag drops you can pass but you must stay nose to tail (no body pulling out until then)
- 2nd & 3rd place must stay on leaders rear bumper, not beside his rear quarter, no laying back trying to get a rolling start on leader
- If you jump the start or you pull out of line you will be docked 2 positions or the number of cars you jumped, at the next yellow or at the end of the race
- If the car you signed in with breaks & you drive another car you must first let officials know, then you will start scratch on the field
- Any verbal or physical mistreatment to any associate or official of the Springfield Raceway will result in suspension from Raceway
