PURE STOCK RULES 2010 &2011
COMMUNICATIONS ; Raceciever 1600 radio are highly recommended but not mandatory.
Bodies :
Minimum 108 inch wheelbase, except 1983 or newer T-birds or Chrysler products
may be 105 inch wheelbase.No Pockups or Elcaminos. Any year american made rear wheel drive production car . All cars to
remain stock . Full frame cars may remove front inner fender wells , unibodies may not. Bumpers must remain stock with no bracing outside frame horns .Tow loops must be attached to front & rear bumpers & capable of supporting car for wreckers Radiator may have protection bar. steering column may be stock or fabricated with removable steer wheel. Car must be stripped ,& have stock fire wall & stock floorpans from front to rear with all holes patched no mirrows , must have at least 3 ½” safety bars & screen over drivers side windshield. Hood fenders, and bumpers required. Engine hoop and snout bars allowed.Must be made of same material as roll cage & not have any added or hidden weight.Must have ¼” inspection hole in non critical area. A 1 1/2″ max. hoop may be welded to top of front & rear bumper with 1 brace from top of bumper to hoop.The hoop & bracing may be attached to nothing else.
Cage :
Drivers side must have a .062 steel plate welded to the outside of the door bars & you must have at least 3 left side and 2 right side door bars, 4 up right bars, cross brace behind driver ,middle bar in top, down bars off rear of cage not going through rear fire wall into trunk. Tubing must be round & at least 1.5 inches in diam. .095 wall min. thickness.No added weights of any kind inside cage,bb’s lead or other weights inside or attached to cage will not be allowed.You may be asked to drill a ¼” inspection hole in a non critical area for inspection
Engine/Motor :
stock motor, stock location, stock solid motor mounts o.k. in stock location.Must be same make as car.
MAXIMUM Size of engine block:
350 gm .060 max.
351 windsor ford .060 max.
360 chry. .060 max
Harmonic balancer on G.m.min.8 in
Smaller engine allowed no stroker engines allowed !!!!!!!!!
Heads:
76 c.c. min.,stock , no performance heads (no double humps ,no292,041 castings ,, no lt1., no bowtie , no center bolt valve cover , or aftermarket allowed.) No porting or polishing , no screw in studs with shoulder , no guide plates ,no polylocks, 194/160 valves max. /no 202/160 allowed. 305 heads on 305 only!!!!!!
Camshaft :
Hydraulic camshafts only &must pull at least 15 inches of vacuum at 1000 rpm./no tolerance. Hyd. Cam 430 maximum lift at valve, stock 1.5 ratio rockers only no tolerance. No roller cams ,no roller tip or roller rockers allowed .
Crankshaft and rods :
Stock appearing ,no light weight no h- beam rods.press fit rods only,no floating rods,5.7 rod on G.M. max.
Aftermarket eagle scat , ect. Stock type ok.3.48 stroke max. No lightening of any kind to crankshaft
Intake manifold :
Stock cast iron ,no aluminum, no bowtie , ford d5 or newer
chrysler no high rise . Intake must be unaltered .
Carb. :
4412 holley only2bbl ,no modifactions , except jets and choke removed / not choke tower.carb.The Carb.is Subject to claim by any driver in a feature in lead lap with winner. Claim is 250 dollars outright or 125 dollars exchange. Failure to sell /points and finish for the night ,2 week susp. And 50 dollar fine paid to a charity of racetracks choice! before returning to race. No electric fuel pumps /stock man. Pump only. Spacer plate for carb. From intake to crb only /1 allowed claim $25 outright /$15 exchange .
Exhaust :
stock cast iron exhaust manifolds only (no ram horn no lt1 no high performance) 2 inch id pipe past driver seat back.
Pistons :
flat top 4 valve relief only. Hypereutectic 4 valve relief pistons ok.no j&e ross or etc. No high performance.parts allowed
Radiators :
ALUMINUMN RADIATOR OK ,ALUM. PULLEYS OK , NO ALUM. WATER PUMPS . UNLESS FACTORY INSTALLED.
OIL PANS :
RACING STYLE OIL PANS ALLOWED(MUST HAVE ¾ IN INSPECTION HOLE ABOVE THE OIL LINE ON THE DRIVER’S SIDE. FAILURE TO REMOVE WILL RESULT IN PAN BEING REMOVED FOR TECH INSPECTION.NO ALUMINUM OIL PANS
TRANSMISSION :
STOCK AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION , WITH FULL SIZE WORKING STOCK CONVERTOR
NO POWER GLIDES ,3 SPD AUTOMATICS ONLY NO TCI, CNR, ETC. TYPE TORQUE CONVERTORS.$75 claim on Torque Convertor
REAR ENDS :
STOCK FOR CAR, MAY BE LOCKED ,NO 9 INCH REAR ENDS.UNLESS FACTORY EQUIPPED.
456 MAX. GEAR ALLOWED REAR TRAILING ARMS MUST BE COMPLETELY STOCK. NO SHORTENING OR LENGTHENING OF TRAILING ARMS. PINON ANGLE MUST BE STOCK ANGLE. LEAF SPRING CARS MUST HAVE WELDED PLATES ON AXLE FOR PLACEMENT TO PREVENT PINON ANGLE MOVING.
SUSPENSION :
STOCK APPEARING RACING SPRINGS ALLOWED : MUST MEET THESE REQUIRMENTS : FRONT SPRINGS 5.5 INCH DIA ., AT LEAST 11 INCH TALL,
REAR SPRINGS : MUST BE STOCK APPEARING 7 INCH DIA. & AT LEAST 13 INCHES TALL.
STOCK APPEARING RACING SHOCKS OK.ONLY ONE STOCK TYPE SHOCK PER WHEEL NO COILOVERS OR HELPER SPRINGS NO ALTERING OF UPPER A FRAMES LOWER A FRAMES OR A FRAME MOUNTS OF ANY KIND NO MIXING OF A ARMS ALLOWED YOU CAN ONLY USE WHAT CAME OUT ON THAT PARTICULAR CAR FROM THE FACTORY, , STOCK RUBBER BUSHINGS FRONT AND REAR ,NOSTEEL OR POLYURETHANE . NO WEIGHT JACKS ,NO SPRING SPACERS OF ANY KIND , NO ADDED WEIGHT ,NO STEERING QUICKNERS , NO AFTERMARKET POWER STEERING PUMPS . STOCK TYPE PARTS ONLY
IGNITION : MUST BE STOCK NO DUI OR MSD, ETC.!!!
FUEL TANK :
MUST BE FUEL CELL ,MOUNTED IN TRUNK AT FLOOR LEVEL ON A NON AJUSTABLE BRACKET CELL MUST BE IN A MANUAFACTURES TYPICAL STEEL CAN OR ONE OF 18 GAUGE METAL ,22 GAL. MAX , AT LEAST 2,2 IN.WIDE1/8 IN.THICK STRAPS BOTH DIRECTIONS.Two 1 1/2″ by 1 1/2″ by 1/8″ thick angle may by be welded under trunk floor across rear frame rails.Rollover Valve,Flapper Valve & Screw on style cap highly recommended
Tires: DOT , NO ALL TERRIAN TIRES, MAX. 8 INCH TREAD ,WILL BE CHECKED WITH TRACK GAUGE, NO TOLERANCE . NO RACING TIRES .2357015 MAX. WIDTH TIRE ALLOWED.No 60 series tires.Radial tire only

MUST USE OEM TYPE MASTER CYL. /MAY REMOVE BOOSTER , BUT USE OEM TYPE MASTER CYL. ,PEDAL MUST BE IN STOCK LOCATION.
NO 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES.

RACING SEAT , Must use a ALUMINUM Seat, MOUNTED,SECURLY MOUNTED in , STOCK LOCATION NO SET BACKS!!!!!This means Stock location no moving seat back.
This is a stock class ,no high performance parts ; if you think it is a grey area ask track or tech before doing it ,will be teched by tracks interpretation of rules NOT THE RACERS INTERPRETATION!!!!!
